Twitter Kicks Off Alex Jones and InfoWars

Twitter has permanently suspended the accounts of Alex Jones and his Infowars website.

It made the move after a number of tweets that violated Twitter's abusive behaviour policy, the company said.

We've written many times before about the moon-howling, hate-filled conspiracy theorist Jones and his 'network'. This is long, long, overdue.

Today, we permanently suspended @RealAlexJones and @infowars from Twitter and Periscope. We took this action based on new reports of Tweets and videos posted yesterday that violate our abusive behavior policy, in addition to the accounts’ past violations.

Alex Jones didn’t get suspended for libeling people, or claiming Sandy Hook parents were liars, or threatening Mueller, or promulgating dangerous conspiracy theories. He got suspended because Jack got caught overruling staff to keep Jones on Twitter. Embarrassment caused it.
