Portugal - Socialists On Course For Win

Seems like Economic Competency and Reversing Cuts is a Vote Winner. Who knew ?

António Costa's Socialist Party (PS) have easily won the Portuguese Election, just falling about 4 seats short of the number needed for a outright majority and will need to enter into a pact with another party. They will probably form a Coalition with The Left Bloc, with a predicted 19 to 23 seats.

Since coming to office in 2015, under the PS the country's economy has grown way above the EU average ... and cuts to public sector wages and pensions have been reversed.

Unusually for present-day Europe, there is little sign of Populism or the Far-Right in Portugal.
